Pmax Tutorial by Paul Larson
January 10th to 19th, 2023 at TU Wien
Paul Larson will visit TU Wien in January. He will give a two weeks Pmax forcing tutorial from January 10-19, 2023. In addition to introductory material from his handbook article, he will also present Woodin's theorem on $MM^{++}(c)$ in Pmax extensions of models of $AD_\mathbb{R} + \Theta$ regular as well as ideas from the celebrated results on the failure of square (Caicedo-Sargsyan-Larson-Schindler-Steel-Zeman, 2017, and Larson-Sargsyan, 2021).
We plan to have 2,5h of lectures in the morning each day (with a break) to leave ample of time for discussions and further reading in the afternoons. We want to make the tutorial accessible to everyone but this might require some preparatory reading on your side. There is no registration fee but please get in touch with me as soon as possible if you are interested in attending (there is a limited room capacity!) and let me know if you would need funding.
Handwritten lecture notes taken by Takehiko Gappo are available here.
