Vortragender:Jakob Kellner
Inhalt:Kechris: Classical Descriptive Set Theory
Ort: Seminarraum des KGRC
Zeit: WEDNESDAY9:00-10:30

We assume knowledge of basic mathematical logic as well of set theory as covered by Mengenlehre 1+2 courses (e.g., you should know why AC and GCH hold in L, how forcing works including iterated forcing etc).

We will read Kechris Classical Descriptive Set Theory (about the first 180 pages, plus selected topics).

The language of the course will be English

Workload

Be aware that this is a 7 ECTS course, i.e., the workload ist supposed to be 175 hours (of 60min) in total, i.e., 152h of independent work if you deduct the ca 23h of lecture time. Divided by 16 weeks, this corresponds to 9.5h/week. You should be able and willing to invest this time (and complain to me if you need more than 9.5h per week to follow the course).
