Ziffernsysteme und fraktale Zerlegungen der Ebene
Abstract:
To a root of particular quadratic polynomials, one can attach a plane
compact set T with nonempty interior with the following property: there is
a 2x2 expanding matrix A such that A(T) is the union of a finite number of
translates of T. Such attractors provide a tiling of the plane by their
translates.
Graph theoretical and other methods for the determination of topological
properties of these tiles (existence of cut points, disk-likeness,
fundamental group) will be presented.
